This is an exhibit with some unusual bonbon spoons

Both spoons are sterling

This is an interesting spoon which depicts a large seated bare breasted
Britannia holding hands with a smaller figure
Below the center figure, two puttis frolic.
Below the puttis is an unidentified face. I don't know if it is human,
animal, or stylized
The whole scene is surrounded by Art Nouveau designs and a shell
I have never seen this image of Britannia and do not understand the
motive behind it

I think the left spoon is a stylized snake.
The right spoon is from Japan and part of the Naturalism movement

These are silver plated spoons
