These two spoons appear to be modern Greek coins. The whole spoon
is gold washed and the marking on the back
is 800 which is supposedly the purity standard of the underlying silver
metal.
The lettering identifies the image as that of Poseidon
who is often depicted as an older male with a beard and curly hair
Poseidon is typically called the 'God of the Sea', but he was also one
of the twelve Olympian Gods and also responsible for earthquakes.
