This piece is a very large detailed silver dragon that was probably
designed to be a spoon rest.
But it could also have other uses, including being a bon bon spoon or
small candy server.
I have included a ruler in the picture to give you an idea of size
This is a side view as the dragon is very three dimensional .

The entire dragon body is extensively chased to show scales and there
was a lot of silver sawing work as well as soldering to put the
different pieces together.
The bowl is fluted using repousse workmanship.The horns are very big.
There are no marks.
I do not know who, what when, where, or why this piece was
created.
