Knights of Pythias

This is an ordinary round handled spoon that has been modified in this beautiful example of cut card work and engraving. I am assuming that it has something to do with the K of P.

The back is engraved "Will, from Starr", August 22, 1892

Souvenir of an encampment

1897

fraternal spoon, mason/ knights

I am not exactly sure which fraternal organization created  this unique spoon.

So if you have any information please write me.

The finial is a dagger with a male head. There is also a piece of red glass in a star and the white is a piece of abalone shell cut into a crescent (with a small missing chip)

The dagger is labeled "Kansas City 1901" and the back is engraved "Ruth May 11 -03"
