Many of the spoons shown in these pictures are also described in
more detail in other exhibits of this museum.
However, I thought it would be interesting to group them into pictures
so that you can see them in relation to each other.
Weddings and related celebrations tend to have a lot of people and of
course that means a lot of food. Attention is often paid to the
smallest of details and the choice of utensils for serving the food
would have received a lot of attention.

These spoons are a little smaller, but they all have elements in them
which would suggest that they were for a wedding celebration.
This often includes a man and woman figures, hearts, cornucopia symbols
etc.
An argument could be made about the Adam and Eve spoon pictured
as that spoon could be involved in a number of different types of
celebrations.
