LOS ANGELES SPOONS

Los Angeles is the largest city in California which is the largest
state (population) in the USA. But it trails NYC in population.
Around 1900, the city was also a powerful tourist magnet and we find
many spoons from this area.
The official name is "El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina
de los Angeles del Río de Porciúncula"

Developed in the 1920's to resemble the Upper East Side of Manhattan,
this central part of Los Angeles had a small lake and people would rent
boats
for a leisurely Sunday afternoon. This spring fed lake has now been
renamed Mac Arthur park after General Douglas Mac Arthur and it is now
a Los Angeles Historical monument (#100)
